This
automated, comprehensive control system is designed
for automatic sequential operation with real time
color graphic display of temperature, vacuum and
other process information being stored on a zip
drive. |
| • |
Housed
in a two door, rear opening metal enclosure are
the; PLC, motor starters, diffusion pump contactor
(s), zone power controllers, fuses and terminal
strips. |
| • |
Face
mounted; pushbuttons, switches, indicating lights,
system interactive engraved graphic display, operators
terminal, and instrumentation for vacuum, over temperature
control and trim zone ammeters. |
| • |
A
“start-up” button automatically initiates
vacuum pump sequential operation. A “cycle
stop” button ends the cycle at any time, and
“shut down” automatically reverses the
vacuum pump start-up sequence. |
|

The
heating cycle is automatically or manually controlled. |
| • |
The
automatic heating cycle follows a pre-selected temperature
program profile from the master process controller
memory and is initiated as a function of a vacuum
gauge set point. The manual heating cycle may be
initiated by the “run” button on the
master controller. |

Trend
or tabular data, temperature program, furnace actual
zone and work temperatures, vacuum and inert gas
pressure levels are displayed on the operators color
graphic terminal. A zip drive stores process run
cycle data. Software is provided for data analysis
on a desk top PC. |
